Supply and installation of helium refrigerator systems for the high luminosity project (06020102)
CERN intends to place a contract for the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of two helium refrigerator systems each with a capacity of ~15kW@4.5K including ~3kW@1.8K to cool superconducting magnets. Each helium refrigeration system will include the following main components: compressor station, dryer system, 4.5K cold box, 1.8K cold box and a cryogenic transfer line connecting the cold boxes. The helium refrigerator systems shall be installed at point 1 located in Switzerland and at point 5 located in France.
Interested firms shall have experience in the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of similar cryogenic multi-kilowatt refrigerator systems including detail design and manufacturing of the specific helium gas bearing turbines.
