Provision of installation services for optical fibre cabling systems on the CERN site
CERN intends to place a four-year contract for the provision of installation services for optical fibre cabling systems on both the French and Swiss parts of the CERN site. The contract will cover installation interventions of various scopes, sizes and complexities. Interventions will take place on the surface and underground in all areas of CERN¿s accelerator complex and infrastructure.
Interested firms will have proven experience and competence in blowing, pulling and removal of optical fibre cables and ducts, fusion-splicing and the testing of optical fibre cabling systems with single-fibre and multi-fibre connectors, installation of patching assemblies, and installation of hardware components for optical fibre termination.
