Announcement:

Supply of instrumentation feedthrough cover flanges, with high voltage and low voltage pins, for the cryomagnets of the HL-LHC Project (06010502, 06010606)

CERN intends to place a contract for the design and manufacturing of a total quantity of 67 instrumentation feedthrough cover flanges, with high voltage and low voltage feedthroughs. The cover flanges have different diameters, up to 258 mm, and shall be made in austenitic stainless steel 316L or 304L. They contain up to 48 single pin high voltage feedthroughs for short (60 ms time constant), max 200 A current pulses, and some low voltage feedthroughs. The breakdown voltage of the high voltage feedthroughs must exceed 5 kV in air, and 3.1 kV in gaseous He. The assembly must resist 25 bar overpressure. The global leak rate must be smaller than 10-9 mbar·l·s-1.¿

Interested firms shall have a proven experience and competence in the field(s) of manufacturing of leak-tight high-voltage feedthroughs.
