Announcement:

Supply of an industrial system to perform thermal property measurements (CTE) down to 1.9K based on a closed-cycle cryocooler

CERN intends to place a contract for the supply of a closed cycle cryocooler to be used for the determination of the coefficient of thermal expansion of materials from room temperature down to 1.9K, for magneto-striction measurements thanks to a magnet with a minimum field of 9T as well as for in-house development and qualification of sensors as optical and electrical strain gauges.

Interested firms must have a proven competence and experience in the design and manufacturing of mechatronic equipment and closed cycle cryostats and in interferometric measurements all at cold temperatures (1.9 K) and shall have the requested Supply in its standard portfolio.

Market Survey scheduled for dispatch:

Fourth quarter 2020

Invitation to Tender scheduled to dispatch:

First quarter 2021
