Announcement:
Supply of Aluminium Carbon Fibre mechanical components for the CMS Phase II upgrade
CERN intends to place a contract for the supply of mechanical components made of Aluminium Carbon Fibre (AL-CF) metal matrix composite materials for the CMS Phase II upgrade. The components consist of ~20¿000 bridges, spacers, inserts and support structures to be delivered from February 2021 until end of 2022.
Interested firms must have a proven experience in producing dimensionally and geometrically high-precision AL-CF components.
