Announcement:

Supply and installation of an helium cryogenic distribution system to test components of the High Luminosity Project

CERN intends to place a contract for the design, manufacture and installation of a helium cryogenic distribution system, for building SM18 on the French part of the site, i.e. the String Cryogenic Transfer Line (SQXL), including three cryogenic valve boxes and sections of thermally shielded multi-header cryogenic transfer lines for a total length of approximately 55 m. The vacuum jacket is in the range of DN700. Instrumentation, cryogenic valves, safety valves and control system will be specified and supplied by CERN.

Interested firms shall have a proven experience and competence in the design and manufacture of cryogenic valve boxes and shielded transfer lines for the supply of liquid helium.
